Back to Back Breathing
Hello Overwhelmed Yogis,
Regardless of your feelings about Valentine’s Day, I hope you will enjoy this lovely partner breathing exercise for Tranquility Thursday.
Get a friend or loved one. Sit cross legged back to back, close your eyes and breathe into each other. Feel your torso expand and contract like a balloon inflating and deflating, focusing on the back as well as your sides and belly.
Stay for about a minute, longer if you want. Even 30 seconds will calm both of you down and increase connection.
Also, breathing into the back prevents the rib flare that is a common cause of back pain.
